What: Little Italy Mercato
When: Wednesdays 9am-1pm; Saturdays 8am-2pm
Where: West Date St. between Kettner Blvd. and State St., San Diego
The Little Italy Mercato in San Diego was so charming! We visited the recently opened Wednesday market and found everything you might need for a midweek stock up, including organic produce, freshly baked bread, and meat. On top of the staples, there were so many incredible food crafters with unique and delicious items. We loved the Banana Oat Sweet Hummus from Beanja, the Nacho Dynamite Kale Chips from Kips, and the Habanero Sculpin Jerky from Jerky’s Gourmet that is marinated in Ballast Point Habanero Sculpin IPA.
We also brought home some irresistible Pineapple Hot Sauce from Inferno Farms and Caramelized Onion & Roasted Garlic Jam from Oak Moon Kitchen. We can’t wait for our next visit to San Diego and the Little Italy Mercato!
