Chelsea and Chris at Remarkables MarketWith winter upon us here, we decided to venture to the Southern Hemisphere to chase summer and explore farmers markets. One of our favorite markets we visited on our journey was the Remarkables Market in adventurous Queenstown, New Zealand. The setting of this market was one of the most beautiful we have ever seen, giving market-goers views of the jagged Remarkables Mountain Range while doing their shopping. There was fresh produce, and we particularly loved the juicy cherries and apricots. We discovered some amazing food vendors selling tasty goods, including Stewart Island smoked salmon, local cheese, and the famous Manuka honey.

One of the most unique and delicious finds was from Mother & Daughter – their elderflower cordial was scrumptious! There were also many craft vendors, selling various handmade goods and lots of beautiful merino wool pieces. Another unique thing we enjoyed about the market was their Reuse and Recycle cup stand, which holds coffee mugs that market-goers can use while at the market, get a discount on their cup of java at the coffee shop, and then return to the dirty mug bin in an effort to help reduce waste at the market. We sure loved our visit to the Remarkables Market!
